The J.O.Y School exists because of generous people, local churches, businesses and foundations, and all of those who open their hearts in love for special children who need help the most. At this time, there is no tuition. program and finances are overseen by a board of directors made up of prominent community leaders from various walks of life
We are non-profit, non-denominational, and are associated with the Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church, where the school is located.
We always appreciate volunteers and donations of all kinds. Simple donations through our GoFundMe Page are graciously accepted to help support our ongoing cause.
For more information on how you can become a volunteer, please contact Martha Insignares through the contact link below.
Another way you can donate to the J.O.Y. School is through participation in Palmetto Giving Day. Palmetto Giving Day is a single day, online giving event for Georgetown County. Whether you’re interested in the environment, arts, youth, animal welfare or human services, Palmetto Giving Day is an awesome opportunity to show our community what matters to you! Together, we’re making Georgetown County a better place to live, work and play. We encourage you to join us on May 6-7 and together as one we can make Palmetto Giving Day a huge success.
